Cherished

We remember Pamela Isaac, a former colleague at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago and a special friend to many of us who were her contemporaries during her time at the Bank.

We remember her ever present smile, her quiet efficiency on the job and the vibrancy with which she participated in the extracurricular life of the bank.

We will always remember Pam with great affection.

Dave 'Tom' 'Tiger' Thompson was representative of an ideal Central Banker.  He had an excellent attendance and punctuality record; required minimal supervision and was always appropriately attired.  With his  knowledge, skills, aptitude and attitude, Dave quickly became proficient in any assigned job.  Dave's mastery included a comprehensive understanding of the backwards and forward linkages related to the tasks in the various job descriptions within the department.

His high level of competence extended beyond the world of work.  The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago was well represented by Dave Thompson in several sports and games.  With Tom on a team, the possibility of victory was greatly improved if not certain.  If Tiger was your opponent in any sport or game, you were required to play at your best to stand any chance of winning against him.  He was a fierce competitor.  For Tom, participation in sports and games meant winning, bragging rights, picong and his distinctive laughter.  Tiger did not play just for the fun of playing.

Dave Thompson was one of the founders of the Central Bank Sports and Cultural Club [CBSCC].  He was the chief draughtsman of the CBSCC's Constitution.  Additionally, Dave frequently drew up the first set of fixtures for the Central Bank's Sports.  He was not averse to fixing the fixtures.  Therefore, the final set of fixtures reflected adjustments that redressed the biases that were always in favour of Dave’s team.
